I. Purpose: to promote fellowship among the members of the United Flying Octogenarians, represent the interests of senior pilots and inspire youth to fly.

II. Officers and Directors: by majority vote, the Officers and Directors shall:
A. Six months prior to the expiration of the terms, elect the President, Vice President-Public Relations, Vice President-Slipstream Editor, Vice President-At Large, Secretary Treasurer and six (6) Directors for a term of two years. 
B. Fill an intra-term officer or director vacancy in a timely manner.

III. Area Directors: the President shall, from time-to-time, appoint Area Directors.

IV. A General Meeting of this organization will be held at the place and at the time of the annual AOPA Aviation Summit unless otherwise directed by the Board of Directors.

V. Dues: The Board of Directors shall specify the amount of annual dues to be paid by June 1st of each year or accompany an application for membership. Non-payment of dues will result in a lapse of membership.

VI.The Secretary-Treasurer is authorized to incur and pay the organization's debts.

Any pilot who holds or has held an airman's flight certificate in a fixed, rotary, sport or balloon aircraft and has exercised this privilege as a pilot in command after reaching the age of eighty (80) years, shall be eligible for membership.

The liability of each member shall limited to the payment of the annual dues. 

The membership application shall contain a statement that the applicant has read a copy of the United Flying Octogenarian Charter and that he or she agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth therein.
